Aloha, my name is JulesKD and my real home is here. I use this just to follow people and things I think are nifty.

Before anything else I'm a novelist, in search of an agent, growing a pair refining my query letter.

Stuff I care about: Being art, through Kung Fu (choy lei fuht, broadsword and staff, light-contact sparring, trapping, and forms,) and through dance (Hula/Polynesian.) Human rights, equality, and the freedom of choice for all. Health and wellness, not only for me, but for everyone. I think you have to fight for those things and not just bitch about them. Science, animal rights, availability of information, sustainable living. Movies, music, art, and how best to have fun and adventures. Laughter, friends, joy. I root for the underdog.

Stuff I don't care about: Make-up, hair, shoes, purses, what's fashionable, cooing at myself in the mirror, who's banging whom.

Oh, and finally I'm a massage therapist and I love my job! So I could tell you a story, make you feel awesome, dance a Hula, or I could leg-sweep you and punch you in the face. YOU NEVER KNOW.

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a Christian, but you don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas.

This persecuted Christian bullshit is tiring. Where are these kids struggling to openly celebrate Christmas? Nowhere. Where are these kids struggling to openly celebrate themselves? Everywhere. Wonder why…

I suppose if you’re struggling to win an election because logic routinely evades you, you might as well show strength through defining who you’ll protect (the children!) from what enemy (the sodomites!). It always was the dumbest boys who picked on us gay folk…

He makes me ill. Organized religion is waging a war on EVERYthing, and they’re oppressed? Seriously, where are these poor, white, overbearing Christians being oppressed and told not to celebrate? Since when does saying “Oh, I celebrate something different to you” = “THAT MEANS YOU CAN’T DO YOUR THING THO!” How do you honestly get from “I don’t believe in your God” to “therefore you aren’t allowed to either.” Oh! I know how! Because that’s precisely what these conservative Christians do to others. I guess they’re just following their own logic.

Drive your SUV to the soccer field and stfu already.

It makes it slightly easier to deal with when you know that this guy is so clearly insane, as demonstrated in his “debates.” What kills me is that so many people in this country don’t see it.
